PrintCraft vs PdfCraft: name explained

If you searched for PrintCraft after seeing an ArtCraft app list, the current official destination is PdfCraft. This page answers the naming question; the PdfCraft guide covers the actual PDF workflow and downloads.

The useful starting point

On October 11, 2026, getartcraft.com/apps/printcraft redirected to getartcraft.com/apps/pdfcraft, whose visible product name is PdfCraft.

We checked the official URL destination and current product/repository links. We did not find a dated announcement establishing a formal rename history, so no rename date is asserted here.

What the official links establish

The old PrintCraft product path leads to a page for the PDF workbench. The destination links to the storytold/pdfcraft repository and describes PDF reading and page-management tasks. Those links identify the present ArtCraft product more reliably than a keyword, old screenshot or third-party app list.

This evidence does not show two separately maintained PDF applications. It also does not prove when a name changed or why an older link used PrintCraft. A redirect is a current routing fact; historical branding needs its own dated source.

Verified identity at the source check
Item	Observed destination or name
Old official path	getartcraft.com/apps/printcraft
Current destination	getartcraft.com/apps/pdfcraft
Visible product name	PdfCraft
Linked repository	github.com/storytold/pdfcraft

Which download to use now

Follow the current PdfCraft product page or its linked release history. Select a platform package by its exact filename, not by the search phrase that brought you here. Keep the version and checksum with the file so that you can identify the build later.

If your purpose was creating page layouts, the relevant ArtCraft app is DesignCraft. If your purpose was extracting or reorganizing PDF pages, continue to the PdfCraft guide. Picking by the document task prevents a name ambiguity from turning into the wrong installation.

Do not identify an app by its name alone

PrintCraft can appear in unrelated printing, design or software contexts. This note covers only the ArtCraft URL above. A matching word on a company website or app store does not establish that it is the same project.

Before downloading, trace a chain from the official product page to the repository and then to the release asset. If a listing has a different publisher or no official link, identify it separately. Do not send files or account details to a service solely because its name looks familiar.
